Ah deconstruction,
how nicely you
tear apart all that makes sense,
and turn it into a question.

ah deconstruction
how you’ve turned love
into a need and something that only
lucky ones get;
you’ve taken the mystery and replaced it
with bitterness and biology.

I use to believe that we were made to find
someone
that we are incomplete until we connect
with a special someone;
as though we could not be a full person
without love,
now bitterness and knowledge have taught me
well
love comes and goes
in very much the same way as life.

is this a hindrance this deconstruction, this bitterness
towards what was once sacred,
no,
its an awakening: so that I don’t think I deserve, by simply
being alive, a someone who loves me;
its rather pure luck and chance, and a gift that love might
knock on your door.

this is also the deconstructed: one has to keep it (and this
requires will, and dedication; most believe it will stay simply
because it should)
love is something that has to be tamed and rekindled over and over
or else it leaves, like some floating spirit that drifts from spot to spot

if you find; enjoy it, and live it, and cherish it; but don’t temporalize
it
just love
